This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College.

This role is pro rata so the salary you will be receiving is £10,325.09 - £14,434.69per annum.
BACKGROUND TO THE POST

The Academic Learning Support Tutors’ primary role is to support improvement in English Language and/or Mathematics for students with high needs/Educational Health and Care Plans.
Academic Learning Support Tutors report to the Head of Inclusion and Learning Supportwho in turn reports to the Director of Schools, Re-engagement and SEND.
Essential Attainments
✓GCSE grade A-C or equivalent qualification in Maths and English
✓Full Teacher Training Qualification (PGCE, DET, DTTLS)
✓Level 5 specialism in Literacy orNumeracy or a willingness to achievethis qualification
✓Experience of identifying students with learning support needs and working with such students.
✓Experience of teaching in post-16 education.
✓Experience of teaching English/literacy and/or Numeracy.
✓A willingness to undertake continuing professional development
Desirable Attainments
✓A degree or equivalent level qualification
