Are you an experienced Project Engineer with a background in fuel storage or Oil and Gas projects? Our client, with four strategically located terminals in the UK, is seeking a talented individual to join their project team in Teeside.
You will play a key role in delivering projects within the petrochemical industry, ensuring safety, compliance, and innovation throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role:
As a key member of the project team, you will assist the Project Manager in the technical aspects of sustaining (M&R) and growth CAPEX project development and delivery. Responsibilities include managing assigned projects to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, with a focus on safety, compliance, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and process hazard analysis studies.
* Support the project manager in assembling cost estimates and schedules.
* Develop technical documentation, such as Basis of Designs and Scope of Works for RFPCo-ordinate.
* Review technical documentation produced in-house and by design houses/consultants.
* Manage technical queries and hold lists.
* Develop pre-commissioning and commissioning plans.
* Support project reviews, including design, constructability, and Human Factors/Ergonomics.
* Ensure all projects comply with UK safety and environmental regulations (e.g., COMAH/CDM), planning regulations, and industry best practices.
* Support closing out MOC/LOPA/HAZOP actions and punchlist items.
* Manage engineering projects, including design calculations, drawings, specifications, programmes, budgets, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
* Manage allocated CAPEX project budgets.
* Participate in audits and assist in emergency response plans as required.
Requirements:
* A relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* External accreditation in project management methodologies, such as PMP or Prince2.
* Experience working within project teams in process, chemical, or petrochemical industries, particularly on COMAH sites.
* Knowledge of and familiarity with CDM Regulations.
