Job Description
An exciting and rare job opportunity has arisen within the Alcohol Specialist Nurse Service for a Band 6 Alcohol Specialist Nurse on a 21 month secondment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our service. Experience of working in an NHS setting is essential.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing and coordinating the care of patients attending QA hospital with an alcohol related health problem. The role will include assessing patients on admission, coordinating care and liaising with the hospital, relatives, Adult Social Care, Community Teams and all specialities of health care, including supporting and providing care for patients as an outpatient within QA Hospital and overseeing medical detox where appropriate.

Qualifications
Essential
* Current RN Adult / RGN registration with NMC
* Post Registration qualifications.
* Relevant Management / Leadership Course E.g. LEO, NEBS
* Significant experience with evidence of CPD.
Desirable
* Previous experience of staff development and performance management
* Evidence of ward management/teaching (formal and informal) experience and change management.
* Non-Medical prescriber
