Senior Corrosion Engineer (ref: SCE 12/25)
Plant Integrity Management (PIM) is growing, and we’re looking for a talented Senior Corrosion Engineer to join our team in Blackburn, Aberdeenshire.
Desired Skills and Experience
· Previous experience in Corrosion Control Management essential
· Minimum of 5 years industry experience
· Chartered Engineer (preferred) or equivalent qualifications & experience
· Accredited Bachelors or Honours degree in engineering or technology with a Corrosion bias
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Clear concise technical report writing
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
· Manage the development of Corrosion Control Strategies for process plant and equipment
· Manage and provide technical support to Corrosion / RBI Engineers and Asset Integrity Teams
· Advise and assist Asset Management with respect to all activities impacting Technical Integrity from corrosion related matters
· Oversee the implementation of the Asset Integrity Management Strategies in corrosion and RBI related matters
· Oversee/approve the development of Written Schemes of Examination / Risk-Based Inspection Schemes, including their management in operations
· Lead the investigation and research of In-Service Failures, make recommendations and support close-out of actions raised to prevent recurrence
· Condition assessment and life extension studies
· Mentor and provide support and guidance to Graduate Engineers
· Provide technical support to client as required
