Clinical Lead: National Gender Identity Clinical Network for Scotland (NGICNS)
Fixed Term / Secondment Opportunity – Up to 3 years
1 PA (4 hours per week)
The Post:
This role is a key strategic position to promote and drive the development of an effective, integrated, multidisciplinary gender identity healthcare service across Scotland. The Lead Clinician will provide national strategic leadership, ensuring a coordinated approach to continuous improvement of services.
* Engage and coordinate with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, including NSD colleagues, Scottish Government, and third sector partners.
* Lead national governance of the Gender Identity Clinical Network, recognising local model variations.
* Support the development of workforce needs and national partner engagement.
The Candidate:
Applicants must be NHS Scotland clinicians with substantive roles, supported by their Clinical Director/Service Lead. Candidates should have experience in the delivery and development of gender identity healthcare services and current registration with NMC, GMC, GDC, or HCPC.
* Demonstrated clinical leadership in gender identity care.
* Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
Location and Working Pattern:
Based at Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow with travelling as required. Hybrid working. Monday to Friday – 1 PA (4 hours per week).
