Career Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor

Due to increased workload, we are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for our Southern Region, working on a £12m Highways scheme in Folkestone or a new Entry Exit System at the Port of Dover involving new infrastructure construction.
Main Duties:
1. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental objectives.
2. Prepare plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and documentation.
3. Conduct on-site measurements and review drawings.
4. Identify risks and evaluate control options.
5. Perform ongoing cost analysis of maintenance and repair work.
6. Prepare and agree on variation accounts.
7. Prepare and agree on interim valuations and final accounts.
8. Issue certification for contract payments to sub-contractors.
9. Provide evidence for dispute resolution.
Must Haves:
* Ambitious individual with strong communication skills and a flexible approach.
* Innovative problem-solving skills and negotiation abilities in a construction environment.
* Strong numeracy and IT skills to handle financial and mathematical demands.
* Experience working on civil engineering schemes including Highways, Structures, River works, and Flood Protection with a main contractor.
* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor using the NEC contract form.
