Job Opportunity: Security Officer Pay Rate: £14.48 per hour Hours: Average 42 hours per week. Including days, nights, and weekends Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, (5 out of 7) About the Role We are seeking dedicated and professional Security Officers to join our team. This is a varied role that requires vigilance, excellent communication, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. As a Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Remain alert and vigilant to deter and detect intruders. Respond promptly to calls for assistance, coordinating with managers and emergency services where necessary. Act as a site key holder and ensure secure access to buildings and grounds. Monitor CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems. Conduct patrols, vehicle checks, and staff/visitor searches as required. Record all incidents accurately in the Daily Occurrence Book and provide written reports or witness statements when needed. Support and manage incidents involving violence or aggression through restraint, de-escalation, and effective communication. Assist with general duties such as managing deliveries, issuing site access cards, and fire alarm testing. What We’re Looking For A validSIA Licence(essential). Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach. The ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in challenging situations. Good organisational and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends on a rotating shift pattern.
