Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health? Simply Education are currently looking for experienced and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to work at our clients primary/secondary school in the Halewood area.
What you will be doing:
Establishing good working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
Provide consistent support to all pupils, responding appropriately to individual pupil needs and including the use of accredited Positive Handling techniques when necessary.
Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans
Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
Provide minimal clerical/administration support (e.g. photocopying, typing, filing, collecting money, etc).
Liaise sensitively and effectively with parents/carers as agreed with the teacher within role/responsibility and participate in feedback sessions/meetings with parents under teacher's supervision.What we're looking for:
Teaching Assistant Qualification ( preferred but not essential )
Experience working with children with SEMH
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
