At Scarlet and Bedruthan, you’ll be creating desserts, pastries and bakery items that are every bit as memorable as the views outside the kitchen windows. From beautifully plated restaurant desserts to fresh pastries and seasonal creations, this is a role for someone who genuinely loves pastry and takes pride in producing exceptional food.
We’re looking for a talented Chef de Partie – Pastry to join our kitchen team for the 2026 season. You’ll be part of a supportive, fast-paced brigade working across our restaurants and bakery, using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients to create food that guests remember long after they leave.

What you’ll be doing
• Producing high-quality pastries, desserts and dishes to a consistently high standard
• Working across different kitchen sections including Sauce, Ogo, Plant Fish & Grill, Breakfast and Pastry
• Supporting the development of new seasonal dishes and menu ideas
• Preparing mise en place efficiently and maintaining smooth kitchen service
• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and food hygiene
• Supporting and mentoring Commis Chefs and apprentices within the Pastry section
• Assisting with stock control, ordering and minimising waste
• Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen brigade during busy services
What we’re looking for
• Previous experience in a Chef de Partie or Pastry role
• Passion for pastry, presentation and quality ingredients
• Ability to stay calm, organised and efficient in a fast-paced kitchen
• Great teamwork and communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
• Relevant culinary or pastry qualifications are helpful, but not essential
