Trainee Process Operative Production Team, Tewkesbury
Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 shifts per week, Monday Sunday

About the Role
M4 Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading company in the dairy industry, who are looking for a reliable and methodical individual with excellent communication skills to join their production team as a Trainee Process Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking to start or progress in the food production industry, offering a clear and structured career path with training opportunities for advancement.
The role would be ideal for someone with experience in production or machine operation, particularly in food production environments, although full training will be provided.
Your Development Journey:
Process Operative Training (6 7 months):
Start as a trainee on the external tanker bay, ensuring the safe, hygienic intake of raw milk.
Receive hands-on practical training while working towards a Level 2 Food Safety & HACCP qualification.
Support and mentoring provided by the Learning & Development team and experienced production staff.
Process Operative Development:
Progress to the full Process Operative role, with opportunities for advancement into a Process Technician position.
Train on internal tanks, focusing on the Pasteurisation process, while working towards a Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely intake, control, and process products in a hygienic environment.
Operate and maintain machinery (including CIP equipment) in line with company standards and food safety regulations.
Monitor health, safety, and hygiene standards, ensuring effective communication across teams.
Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot issues and maintain an efficient workflow.
What Were Looking For:
Previous experience in food production is ideal, but proactive candidates with strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment will also be considered.
Ability to work methodically and maintain a high level of accuracy.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
Flexibility to work varying shifts and adapt to changing demands.
Note: Due to food hygiene regulations, only one solid wedding band is permitted. Jewellery, makeup, perfumes, and strong deodorants are not allowed in factory areas.
