Our family requires a dedicated and conscientious female care assistant to join our friendly team. Were seeking a caring and compassionate individual who enjoys interacting with people and assisting our disabled brother with his daily living activities. Candidates must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Proven experience in working with disabilities and assisted living in either a paid or voluntary capacity, is desirable for this role. Preferably living near Harborne area. Candidates must also be female. Students are welcome to apply The available shifts are available: Early mornings 6am 10 am (4 hours) Early afternoon/evenings (20 hour) Weekends (15 hours total) We are open to discussing if you can do more hours. The salary is £11.44 per hour. Interviews will be held week beginning 20/12/2025. Responsibilities: As a care assistant your responsibilities will mostly consist of: Personal care - assist with personal hygiene, washing assistance with using the toilet and showering. Support with eating and drinking - ensuring that clients are encouraged to eat a healthy, balanced diet and the correct quantities, prepared meals look appetising and make sure the way they eat is appropriate for the client. Assist with mobility - use of a hoist or other aides, in assistance with movement. Dressing and assisting with any activity whereby the clients needs support. Going out for walks and occasional trips. Domestic duties - cleaning, emptying bins, washing where requested. Record keeping - medication chart (for medication), and any other record keeping required. Work with empathy, honesty and integrity. Safeguarding - protect the client from significant harm, abuse or neglect. Providing respect and dignity to the person. Clear communication and discussion with family members at all times.
