(Please contact APSS at point of recruitment) Are you a registered clinical or counselling psychologist or a CBT therapist with experience working in an acute hospital environment using CBT/ ACT/ CFT approaches?
We are looking for a Band 7 0.8 wte Clinical/ Counselling psychologist to work in our Sutton hospital site in our 'directive' pathway (e.g. CBT/ ACT/ CFT approaches. EMDR would be a plus).
We particularly welcome applications from people who identify as from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic groups, as well as people who have a disability., To work within our 'directive' pathway providing structured therapies such as CBT/ ACT/ CFT (our other pathways are: exploratory, family, psychiatry/ mental health nursing)
Responsibilities
 * Provide a high quality specialist clinical/ counselling psychologist/CBT therapy service to adult cancer patients within the context of the Adult Psychological Support Service, including assessment and evidence based interventions associated with the complex physical and psychological impacts of a cancer diagnosis.
 * Work autonomously, within professional guidelines, code of conduct and the overall framework of the team/trust policies and procedures.
 * Provide specialist advice and consultation on patients\' psychological care to colleagues through psychosocial meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings and attendance at clinics if appropriate.
 * Utilize research skills for audit, policy and development of psychological services for patients with cancer.
 * Develop, organize, and deliver specialist psychological education and training for multi-professionals caring for individuals impacted by cancer; and patients and their carers as required by The Royal Marsden Trust in collaboration with other colleagues.
 * Offer, where appropriate, clinical supervision to attached trainee psychological practitioners, assistant psychologists working the team, clinical nurse specialists/ other members of health care team as appropriate.
