Shifts: 10pm – 8am Nights
x1 28.5 hours per week
We deliver exceptional care in our Village community-styled home. Each household has around twelve residents. We are a committed team providing person-centred care to enrich residents’ lives and place them at the heart of everything we do.
About the role: A Care Assistant works with other staff to run the household, maintain high standards of care and service for residents, relatives, visitors and colleagues, and provide a range of personal and practical care to residents.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Demonstrate compassion, empathy and a person-centred approach to caring for older people
* Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
* Able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of residents and the household
* Provide assistance and personal care
* Be alert to residents’ needs, health and wellbeing
* Respect residents’ dignity and privacy
* Work with residents and their families to deliver tailored care to each individual
* Assist with mealtimes and safe moving
* Maintain accurate records for each resident
Skills and Experience
* Excellent communication and written skills
* Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect
* Previous experience in an elderly care setting
* Team player but able to work on your own initiative
* Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the Home
* A minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in health & social care or the Care Certificate along with a dedicated passion for providing exceptional care for night team roles
