As Business Resilience Manager within the UK Business Support function, the role supports the delivery of Tesco’s Business Resilience approach ensuring customers, communities, and the planet are served a little better every day. Expertise in resilience is applied with agility, collaborating across the business to enable timely, integrated, and effective responses to crisis and incident situations. The role also involves engaging with external stakeholders and forums, where appropriate, to understand and support wider industry challenges that may impact Tesco. Understanding and championing the Business Resilience Blueprint Standards and approach across Tesco. Supporting the development of colleague capability across Business Support and Retail, enabling teams to detect and assess situations and understand their impact to respond effectively to incidents. Liaising with subject matter experts to review and maintain Business Impact Analyses and Business Continuity Plans across Business Support and Retail Operations. Help build understanding of risks associated with processes, systems, people, and property. Work cross-functionally to identify and assess risks that could disrupt the business, capturing critical processes and dependencies to determine recovery objectives and maximum tolerable impacts, minimising or mitigating risks where possible. Staying up to date with evolving Tesco processes and procedures, recognising how these may affect business continuity planning. Liaising with the Group Business Resilience team to ensure plans are stored within the agreed Business Resilience Management System. Supporting the facilitation, coordination, and management of crisis and incident response meetings. Assisting with post-incident review meetings to ensure learnings are captured and incorporated into future planning to improve resilience. Designing and facilitating exercises to test the effectiveness of incident planning, strengthening response capability and embedding learnings. Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships across the business to ensure stakeholders respond appropriately to advice and recommendations. Considering technology when reviewing risks and opportunities, ensuring digital solutions are explored where appropriate to enhance business resilience. Strong Operational Resilience expertise, including Business Continuity Planning, Crisis and Incident Management, and Risk Governance. Leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, motivate, and collaborate across teams. Business and customer awareness, understanding the retail sector and the resilience challenges it faces, particularly within store operations. Effective communication and facilitation, including experience designing or leading exercises and managing incident response meetings. Agility and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to prioritisation and problem-solving. Technology awareness, considering digital solutions when assessing risks and opportunities.
