Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Preparation Worker to join our After school club. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a keen interest in tea preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of afternoon tea, including making sandwich, salad, buffet and washing up and cleaning down.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Supporting healthy eating for children.
* Ensuring tea is ready in a timely manner.
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, following all operational protocols.
* Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages.
* Assist in serving tea and ensuring children's satisfactory.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a catering environment is preferred.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is essential.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
* A passion for cooking and meal preparation with a willingness to learn new skills.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Join us in creating delightful tea experience for the children.
