Hugh Baird College is seeking a Curriculum Manager to join our Building Services Engineering and Business section on a temporary, maternity cover basis.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring curriculum leader to step into a high‑impact position where you will guide teams, shape curriculum quality, and play a key role in delivering an employer‑led, future‑focused learning experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Curriculum Manager, you will:
* Lead and support Course Leaders and Lecturers to meet annual performance targets.
* Drive high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment through coaching, walkthroughs, work scrutiny and learner feedback.
* Ensure effective planning, sequencing and delivery of the curriculum.
* Oversee timetabling, resource planning and the deployment of technical staff.
* Monitor learner recruitment, retention, achievement, progress and progression outcomes.
* Produce accurate performance reports and implement targeted improvement actions.
* Maintain high standards of behaviour, attendance and learner engagement.
* Manage staff performance, and support continuous improvement.
* Support strategic aims including quality, employer engagement and community impact.
This role includes a teaching commitment of 6 hours per week.




About You

You will bring:
* Experience in managing or coordinating curriculum areas or complex projects.
* Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes in teaching, learning and assessment.
* The ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team to deliver excellent outcomes.
* Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
* A proactive, solution‑focused approach with the confidence to drive performance.
* A minimum Level 3 qualification (vocational or academic)
* Cert Ed or equivalent teaching qualification
* Assessor and IQA qualifications are desirable
