About the Role
As a Complex Care Assistant, you will be supporting an individual living with a spinal cord injury in the M26 area. This role is varied, hands-on, and highly rewarding, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference every day. You’ll be part of a small, supportive care team providing 24-hour assistance to ensure comfort, safety, and independence.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Tracheostomy support (tube changes, suctioning, manual coughs).
* Support with breathing valves and oxygen monitoring.
* PEG feeding, hydration, and catheter care
* Working closely with healthcare professionals.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated individuals who want to make a difference in someone’s daily life. To be successful in this role, you should have
* At least 6 months’ previous care experience in the UK (essential).
* A caring and patient nature, with excellent communication skills.
* Confidence in safe moving and handling, or willingness to learn.
* An interest in learning specialist skills such as tracheostomy care, suctioning, PEG feeding, and catheter care (full training provided).
* Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts across days, nights, and weekends as part of a supportive care team.
