Job Description:
We are currently recruiting experiencedHGV Class 1 drivers(C+E) for a major chilled and ambient goods distribution site based inStevenage. This is a fast-paced role involving bothtrunking and scheduled deliveriesto well-known regional hubs and depots.
You will be working withbarn door vehicles and tail-lifts(no curtain-siders), and will support basic load security and cage handling (wheeled units only no heavy handballing). The depot operatesseven days a week, so flexibility with shift days is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct dailyvehicle checksand report any defects promptly
Ensuresafe loading/unloadingusing tail-lift and pump truck
Deliver goods to regional clients ontrunk or multi-drop routes
Secure loads properly and complete alldelivery paperwork
