Programme Director – Sustainable Energy & Decarbonisation
Location: London Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite

I'm seeking a Programme Director to lead a multi-year energy transformation and decarbonisation programme in a high-impact role, accountable for programme delivery, strategic direction, financial performance, and stakeholder engagement.
You will oversee the full lifecycle of the programme, including planning, implementation, optimisation, and transition to operations. This is an operational leadership role for a professional passionate about sustainability, energy efficiency, and delivering measurable
environmental outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute programme strategy, governance and reporting.
Ensure timely delivery of operational energy and decarbonisation initiatives.
Lead multidisciplinary teams to implement operational improvements and low-carbon solutions.
Monitor programme performance, risks, and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
Manage programme budgets, financial controls, and commercial outcomes.
Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and partners.
Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and sustainability performance.
Key Requirements
Proven experience leading large-scale energy, decarbonisation, or operational transformation programmes.
Strong background in sustainable energy systems, carbon reduction initiatives, or environmental programmes.
Track record of managing budgets, financial performance, and programme governance.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing external partners or vendors.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and sustainability standards.
Technical or operational degree preferred; professional programme management qualification is an advantage.
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
