A key client of mine are a boutique wealth management firm. The company has been operating for many years and has built an outstanding reputation providing holistic financial advice to local families, SME owners, retirees and some City professionals. They give advice on pensions, investments, tax planning, IHT planning, protections and lots of inter-generational wealth planning. Their clients hold anything between £300k - £1m+ of investable assets and they pride themselves on offering the highest quality service and generate new business purely through recommendation and referral.
The business is busier than ever, and the MD/Senior Adviser requires a brand-new Personal Assistant. The role will be to support the Adviser with all of his duties, aiding him in prioritising his day and ensuring he is able to discharge his duties in the most timely and efficient manner.
Duties will include diary management, appointment booking, liaising with clients, office suppliers, stakeholders. The business is heavily involved in the local community and hosts networking events so you will be involved in organising these too. You may also provide some ad hoc support to one of the other executives within the business during busy periods. You must be organised, approachable and have excellent communication skills to thrive in this role.
The role will suit an experienced PA or EA who has worked within financial services companies as opposed to other industries. No specialist or technical financial knowledge is required for the role, but an understanding of common finance related parlance and product knowledge will be highly beneficial such as pensions, investments, basic retirement planning products etc.
