We are currently recruiting for dedicated Learning Support Workers to work within an outstanding education facility with excellent facilities both inside and outide of this special education needs setting.
You will be working on either a 1:1 or with small groups of students, to a maximum of 7. To qualify for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate relevant experience of working with special education needs as an essential requirement for this position.
The role is initially temporary, however, for the right candidate there is the opportunity of being offered a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with special educational needs including Autism. mutism, dyslexia
Assist with educational and developmental activities, adapting approaches to manage the individual needs of the student
Continually promote a positive and safe learning environment in supporting students to build confidence and independence
Collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff to implement personalised learning plans
Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCPs and progress assessments
Support with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies as and when required
Skills Required
Experience of working within a SEN setting
