Senior Healthcare Support Worker – Heavitree Haemodialysis Unit (Full‑time Band 3)
Role Summary
A dedicated Health Care Assistant will support patients undergoing haemodialysis at the Heavitree Haemodialysis Unit. The role includes providing specialist cover at other dialysis units in South or East Devon as required following training and competency assessment. The team values compassion, inclusivity and offers training led by the Renal Clinical Practice Facilitator.
Working Pattern
Unit open Monday to Saturday, including bank holidays. Closed on 25 December and 1 January. Shifts: Long Earlies 07:30‑18:30 and Long Lates 12:00‑23:00. Additional pay for work after 20:00, Saturdays and bank holidays.
Training & Development
In‑house training provided by the Renal Clinical Practice Facilitator, with competency assessment. Opportunities for further learning and development including funding for care certificates, degree programmes, leadership qualifications and CPD.
Travel
Travel to other dialysis units in South or East Devon may be required after training and competency assessment.
