Working hours: 35 hours per week Interview Date: 16 September 2025 Salary: £23,987.42-£25,097.61 per annum (Dependent on experience) An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an experienced Charity Shop Manager to oversee our two charity shops: one shop located in Worthing and the other in nearby Lancing. Both shops serve their local community, providing decent, quality goods at reasonable prices and supporting the wider mission of The Salvation Army in the Worthing area. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of the operational activities of the shops Ensure the effective pricing of stock Ensure the attractive visual presentation of the shops Ensure that the shops are stocked with sellable items to deliver continuous sales revenues Lead and role model excellent customer service to deliver sales and missional objectives Lead and manage a team of volunteers and employed van drivers/shop assistants, leading on volunteer recruitment for the shops Promote an understanding of our mission to customers, employees/volunteers and other relevant local agencies Manage the shops costs within the agreed operational budget The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Good experience of working successfully in a similar job role Strong demonstrable customer services skills Proven experience of improving operational activities to enhance the delivery of relevant objectives Demonstrable ability to record and monitor financial data and deliver standard reports as required Good, demonstrable ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks effectively meet objectives and time scales with minimal supervision In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.
