As a Material Aid Case Worker – Food and Financial Assistance based in Tamworth NSW, full-time, you will be key to our mission to enrich lives and strengthen communities. You will be welcomed into a compassionate, respectful, purpose‑driven community where we live our values.

Your Opportunity

Are you passionate about helping people build financial stability and confidence? The Material Aid Case Worker role provides initial support and information to clients experiencing financial hardship via phone, online or in person.

With Integrity and Resilience, You Will

* Be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, responding to incoming calls and onsite arrivals with warmth, calmness and compassion.
* Support people seeking help by providing initial assistance, intake assessments and appropriately identifying and prioritising their needs for further assistance.
* Provide suitable referrals and information to vulnerable clients needing other support.
* Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients and members of the public calling our assistance line or arriving onsite.
* Ensure client data and records are well maintained, up to date and kept confidentially and securely in our database.
* Ensure general administrative tasks are completed on time by maintaining and improving admin procedures/systems and completing administration activities.
* Actively support the team and demonstrate Anglicare’s vision, mission and values in the way you conduct your work.

What You’ll Bring

You Will Also Need

* Qualifications and experience in social work, community services or customer services in a community setting – Minimum Certificate 4.
* Experience and demonstrated ability to provide support to clients presenting with complex needs, including in a state of distress or agitation.
* Experience and demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, prioritising multiple competing demands.
* Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
