About the Role
Simply Education is seeking compassionate and reliable Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of mainstream and specialist SEN schools in Peterborough and the surrounding areas.
This is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking for a flexible role that fits around other commitments, whether you are seeking full-time supply, part-time hours, or ad-hoc work.
You will be supporting children and young people with additional needs, including Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD) and other complex needs. Some roles will involve personal care, so confidence and sensitivity in this area are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with additional needs in the classroom, one-to-one, and in small groups
Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily routines where required
Help maintain a safe, calm, and positive learning environment
Support behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation
Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to meet pupils' individual needs
Promote pupils' independence, confidence, and wellbeing
About You
Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
Comfortable supporting pupils with personal care requirements
Patient, resilient, and empathetic with a positive, adaptable approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
A background in care, support work, or healthcare is warmly welcomed
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
