Join a public sector organisation that is recruiting for a Higher Clerical Officer based in Antrim.
Your new role
As a Higher Clerical Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of a busy clinical service. This is a full-time position, with responsibilities including:
1. Acting as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a professional and courteous reception service.
2. Managing appointments using specialist systems, including booking, rescheduling, and maintaining waiting lists.
3. Handling telephone enquiries and ensuring accuratemunication of messages and information.
4. Supporting radiology workflows by monitoring reports, allocating scans for reporting, and expediting urgent requests.
5. Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery.
6. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
7. Assisting with staff induction and training, and contributing to service improvement projects.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need:
8. Qualifications & Experience:5 GCSEs (Grade A–C) including English and Maths, plus 1 year of clerical/administrative experience
ORGCSE English and Maths (Grade A–C) plus 2 years of clerical/administrative experience
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
10. Strongmunication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
11. Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
12. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (reasonable adjustments will be considered for applicants with disabilities).
