Laundry Assistant Location: Inverness Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary Position Pay Rate: 12.60 per hour About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundry Assistants to join our dedicated facilities team within a busy hospital environment. This vital role ensures that all hospital linen, uniforms, and patient garments are cleaned, processed, and delivered to the highest hygiene standards, supporting patient care and staff operations. Key Responsibilities: Operate industrial washing, drying, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently Sort, load, and unload laundry items according to type and required cleaning process Inspect items for damage or wear and report any issues Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area Follow infection control procedures and hospital hygiene standards Work collaboratively with other team members and departments Ensure timely delivery and collection of laundry across hospital wards and units About You: Previous experience in a laundry or cleaning role (desirable but not essential) Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures Physically fit and able to handle repetitive tasks and lifting Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Understanding of infection control and health & safety (training provided) What We Offer: Supportive team environment Full training and uniform provided Opportunities for development within the hospital Access to NHS benefits (if applicable) How to Apply: Please submit your CV.
