About the Role
Complete classroom services are seeking a reliable and experienced Science Technician to join a dynamic schools in Haringey and North surrondings. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who can support the science department in delivering high-quality practical lessons.
You will play a key role in preparing, maintaining, and organising equipment and materials for science experiments, ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
* Support teachers during practical experiments where required
* Maintain, clean, and safely store laboratory equipment
* Always ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Manage stock levels and order supplies when necessary
* Dispose of chemicals and waste safely in line with guidelines
* Keep laboratories and prep rooms clean, organised, and safe
Requirements
* Previous experience working in a school or educational setting (essential)
* Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and equipment
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a lab environment
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication skills
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach
Desirable
* Science-related qualification or background
* Experience supporting practical science lessons across KS3–KS5
* Knowledge of COSHH regulations
