Senior Systems Engineer (AWS)
Lead the design and improvement of cloud-based systems, translating complex technical challenges into scalable, reliable solutions in AWS or similar environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor system health and proactively manage risks to performance, stability, and security
* Diagnose and resolve complex system and performance issues
* Design and implement system improvements, configurations, and automation
* Support change management processes and impact assessments
* Develop infrastructure as code and automation scripts
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and partners
* Share knowledge and support team development
* Improve monitoring, alerting, and reporting practices
* Support incident response and recovery readiness
* Contribute to scalability and capacity planning
* Apply security best practices
* Maintain clear documentation
Skills & Experience Required
* Experience with cloud-based platforms and AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, EKS)
* Familiarity with Linux/UNIX systems
* Experience with scripting or automation (Bash, Python)
* Understanding of DevOps and infrastructure as code practices
* Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CI/CD pipelines
* Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, New Relic)
* Knowledge of security, backup, and disaster recovery practices
* Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
* Experience supporting system reliability and incident management
* Interest in mentoring and knowledge sharing
