A respected and ambitious accountancy practice in Hampshire is seeking an Audit Partner to join its senior leadership team. This is a high-impact, hands‑on role, providing the opportunity to take immediate ownership of an existing audit portfolio focused on owner‑managed businesses and SMEs. The position is ideal for an experienced Audit Director or Partner who wants to make a tangible impact from day one, drive client growth, and play a central role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership of an existing audit portfolio, ensuring high‑quality delivery and excellent client service.
* Build and maintain trusted client relationships as the main point of contact and adviser.
* Identify opportunities to grow audit work and support wider business development initiatives.
* Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with UK auditing standards and internal quality procedures.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the audit team, fostering talent and supporting succession planning.
Qualifications / Experience Required
* RI status with a recognised UK professional body (e.g. ICAEW or ACCA) with experience at Director or Partner level.
* Strong technical audit expertise, particularly with owner‑managed businesses and SMEs.
* Proven track record in client management, business development, and delivering results.
* Leadership experience, including managing, mentoring, and developing teams.
* Commercially astute, proactive, and collaborative, with the drive to contribute to the firm’s growth.
