About Us
Educare Small School is a nurturing independent primary school for children aged 3 to 11 based in Kingston upon Thames. We offer a child-centred learning environment with small class sizes, combining academic rigour with emotional, physical and creative development. We believe that school should fit the child, not the other way around.
Our approach is safe, balanced and nurturing. We promote values such as self-confidence, respect, compassion, curiosity, determination and enthusiasm for lifelong learning. We follow the UK National Curriculum, enriched by creative arts, forest school, movement practices, and personalised learning.
The Role
1. We are seeking a dedicated, creative and compassionate teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will:
2. Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the primary age range, inspiring curiosity and a love of learning.
3. Foster holistic development—intellectual, physical, emotional—ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
4. Use child-centred teaching methods: mixed-age group work, flexible pacing, and allowing children to progress “according to readiness.”
5. Contribute to our wider school life: forest school sessions, movement circles, creative arts, school events and trips.
6. Work closely with parents, staff and trustees in our supportive school community.
We’re Looking For

7. Is a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience in Primary education.
8. Has excellent classroom practice, strong subject knowledge, and is able to adapt teaching to individual needs.
9. Is creative, reflective and open to trying innovative approaches to learning.
10. Has a genuine belief in nurturing the whole child and promoting values such as respect, compassion, curiosity, self-confidence.
11. Is committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
What We Offer
12. A small, caring school community where you can make a real difference.
13. Small class sizes and the chance to work closely with children in mixed age group settings.
14. Opportunities for professional development, collaboration, and contributing to a school with strong values.
15. Healthy work-life balance with term-time contract (hours to be discussed).
16. Supportive leadership and a welcoming environment.
