About the Role:
Paragon Home Healthcareis looking for aSpinal Injury Support Workerto assist a woman inUckfieldwho has a spinal cord injury following a cycling accident. She lives in a remote home with her partner and son and requires daily support withrespiratory care(Clearway cough assist),catheter management, medication routine, and mobility. She uses awheelchairand has a well-established care plan and a supportive family.
Job Details:
Shift: 12 hours | 9AM9PM
Pay Rate:
* Weekday (Day):£15.29/hr
* Weekends (Day or Night):£18.35/hr (weekends)
* Bank Holidays paid at 150% and Christmas at 200% (double pay)
Location:Uckfield TN22
Driver: Essential since the placement is remote.
What Were Looking For:
Female carer required due to the need to provide personal care (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1).We welcome applications from female carers who are kind, dependable and confident supporting someone in their own home. You dont need spinal injury experience just a willingness to learn, a common-sense approach and the ability to follow the clients lead.
Training & Support:
Paragon is aspecialist providerof spinal cord injury and complex care. Youll receive full training before you start, and where possible, time will be given to get familiar with the care routine. No previous experience with spinal care is needed.

Responsibilities
* Observe and record the client's health status.
* Assist clients with activities of daily living.
* Ensure the client's safety.
* Maintain client confidentiality.
* Notify clients of changes in medications.
* Arrange transportation for client appointments.
