Roving Ambassador (Facilities Assistant)

Mitie | Supporting Lloyds Banking Group
📍 Leeds City Centre
đź’° ÂŁ13.45 per hour
🕒 40 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 7:30am–6:30pm
📣 Reporting to: Regional FOH Lead

This is not a standard facilities role.

As a Roving Ambassador, you are the heartbeat of the workplace experience — delivering a seamless, 5-star environment where colleagues and visitors feel welcomed, supported and valued from the moment they arrive.

You'll combine concierge-level service with hands-on facilities expertise, ensuring every space functions perfectly and every interaction leaves a lasting impression. Whether you're troubleshooting AV, preparing an executive meeting room, hosting a VIP guest, or proactively resolving a workspace issue before anyone notices — you're always one step ahead.

This is a fast-paced, visible and physically active role. You'll spend much of your day on your feet, moving throughout the building, solving problems and elevating standards.

What You'll Be Doing

🏢 Meeting Rooms & Event Spaces

1. Own the full set-up and reset of meeting rooms to specified layouts
2. Ensure rooms are presentation-ready at all times
3. Provide first-line AV support (MTRs, microphones, speakers, docking stations)
4. Proactively check equipment to ensure it's always fully operational

đź‘‹ Guest & Colleague Experience

5. Deliver warm, concierge-style welcomes
6. Manage visitor check-ins and departures smoothly and efficiently
7. Proactively manage lobby flow and queues
8. Act as a visible, mobile point of support throughout the building
9. Build rapport with regular visitors and understand preferences
10. Deliver exceptional VIP hosting

đź”§ Facilities & Workspace Management

11. Conduct daily floor walks and service audits
12. Log, track and see work orders through to resolution
13. Maintain all physical touchpoints to agreed layout and housekeeping standards
14. Act as an interlock between service teams to resolve issues quickly
15. Support facilities compliance and operational excellence
16. Escort approved contractors on site

📊 Coordination & Administration

17. Triage and resolve queries across multiple platforms
18. Maintain trackers, logs and digital records
19. Prepare reports
20. Order stock, peripherals and uniforms
21. Support team briefings in the absence of the Facilities Manager

What We're Looking For

Experience

22. Minimum 2 years in a corporate environment or high-end 5* hospitality

Skills & Attributes

23. Immaculate personal presentation
24. Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
25. Calm under pressure and highly organised
26. Natural problem solver with strong initiative
27. Confident working independently
28. Physically comfortable being on your feet throughout the day
29. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
30. Professional, discreet and dependable

Technical Skills

31. Proficient in Outlook, Word, Teams and Chrome
32. Experience with visitor management systems (e.g. Condeco)
33. Confident with meeting room AV technology
34. Comfortable managing high volumes of digital queries

35. SIA Licence (to be provided)
