Senior Surveyor

This role brings a team of 30 building surveying professionals, focusing on traditional building surveying with a bias toward Contract Administration.
The building surveying team is part of the broader Projects & Building Consultancy department, providing investment funds, corporate occupiers and other internal and external-client advisory.
The successful candidate will engage with clients and colleagues to design solutions to a brief and deliver the corresponding advice or services required.
Key areas of focus include Contract Administration, Dilapidations and PPMs. Additional duties may involve technical due diligence and defect diagnosis across various property types around London.
We also have multiple façade remediation projects across London and surrounding areas; the candidate will support delivery of these services with internal colleagues and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver professional and contractual building surveying instructions independently.
* Manage client and instruction and project teams to deliver quality, timely and profitable services.
* Complete instructions from inception to completion with minimal supervision.
* Assist business development activities, including preparation of proposals and pitch submissions.
* Show passion and enthusiasm for the role.
* Comply with company policies, the management system and quality management procedures.
* Contribute positively to the department’s business plan and revenue targets.
Person Specification / Requirements
* MRICS qualified with over 3 years’ PQE, especially in Contract Administration and façade remediation.
* Strong appreciation of professional and project-based building surveying matters and understanding of the local and wider property markets.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; can present a professional and knowledgeable persona.
* Team‑player, supporting colleagues and other departments.
* Ability to build, develop and maintain existing business and client relationships.
* Organises and prioritises tasks efficiently within agreed time‑frames.
* Provides concise, clear written communication with exacting attention to detail.
* Outgoing, sociable, confident and assertive where required, using discretion appropriately.
* Clean driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK.
