Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, supporting food preparation, and ensuring a smooth operation. Prior kitchen or hotel experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support chefs and kitchen staff.
* Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently.
* Ensure that work surfaces, floors, and equipment are kept hygienic and organised at all times.
* Support with restocking supplies and ensuring ingredients are stored correctly.
* Help with organising the kitchen to meet health and safety standards.
* Assist in serving food during busy periods or special events as required.
* Follow all safety procedures and hygiene regulations diligently to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not mandatory.
* Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is advantageous.
* Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning protocols within a professional setting is beneficial.
* Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to maintain cleanliness standards.
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
