Mobile Area Support
Lancashire County Council provide catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day and we are looking for committed individuals to join the service
You will work as part of a team covering South Ribble and Preston area providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.
Key responsibilities:
1. Assist in the recruitment, selection, induction and training of new staff.
2. Assist Operations and Service Improvement Managers in the delivery of the service.
3. Daily supervision and allocation of duties.
4. Monitor catering income and expenditure against agreed targets/outcomes.
5. Undertake clerical duties associated with record keeping and stock control.
6. Maintain agreed standards, and any associated documentation in relation to food and kitchen hygiene.
7. Responsibility for the ordering of supplies.
8. Where necessary, involvement in the delivery of the service, cooking and service of a varied range of meals in accordance with recipes, menus or production plans.
9. Safe use of catering equipment & machinery.
What we are looking for:
10. Experience of large-scale catering
11. Knowledge of food service and catering in general
12. Organisational, cost control and supervisory skills
13. Recognised supervisor or team leader qualification would be desirable
14. Able to work on their own initiative
15. Must have a Driving Licence and use of a Car
Working Hours/Days:
16. Monday to Friday
17. Term time only
16.25 hours per week
This position is part time and term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro – rata basis.
