About The Role We're looking for a Online Trading Manager working within our Online Team. The Online Trading Manager will help deliver the category plan on Morrisons.com that attracts and retains customers to drive sales and margin. Manages the range available on Morrisons.com and the relationship with suppliers, finding opportunities to increase market share. Interacts with the category trading team to understand Supermarket strategy and adapt to the Online shopper. You'll help to deliver exceptional, customer-led ranges which drive sales and margin across a specific category. You will build on the capability of our Online team by engaging with different teams across the business to translate customer buying insights into competitive customer propositions, ensuring quality and value. Some of your responsibilities will include: Build and deliver the customer focused category plan that feeds into the supermarket category plan Build a digital plan for your area with marketing and suppliers that drives sales Improve margin through pricing, range and promotional tactics Drive availability and supplier inbound discussions for your area ensuring customer availability at doorstep Liaise with marketing teams to ensure we drive traffic and conversion Work collaboratively with the wider Online, Marketing and finance teams to category strategy plan on Morrisons.com Work with wider Trading, Supply and Logistics teams to improve customer NPS Identify new business opportunities (occasions and customers), prioritise appropriately and execute Analyse taxonomy to ensure the site is clear to navigate and easy to shop while maximising use of all available space Plan and execute events successfully to provide customer inspiration and increase conversion, including range and trade planning About you We've built an incredibly diverse business, and we're working hard to make sure we truly represent the communities we serve. For this role, we're looking for someone who has: A good understanding of website functionality Understanding Online Customer Habits Category consumer behaviour Experience of P&L management Experience of working within an e-commerce or commercial trading team with Profit & Loss responsibility Proven track record of consistent delivery against set trading Key Performance Indicators (sales, margin, profit) Proven track record of working cross functionally; ability to influence decisions at different levels Strong analytical and numerical skills Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, able to balance weekly trading with long term strategic growth initiatives Excellent customer focus and Online competitor awareness Strong negotiation skills About us About The Team At Morrisons, we're the single biggest food manufacturer in the UK, and the only retailer to operate our own processing sites.
