EHS Officer
Daily Rate: £150 - £250
Location: Kendal, with occasional travel to other UK sites
Job Type: Full-time Hours - Temporary PositionWe are seeking an EHS Officer to enforce and maintain health, safety, and environmental procedures on site in Kendal. This role requires occasional travel to other UK sites in the North west
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in health and safety standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
Enforce and maintain health, safety, and environmental procedures in conjunction with the EHS Department.
Monitor and audit health & safety systems to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Perform process audits as part of the continual improvement process.
Investigate incidents and provide timely updates as per requested timelines.
Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of incidents.
Support site management on EHS matters daily.
Conduct EHS activities according to standard work procedures.
Analyse performance data to support decision-making and investment decisions.
Maintain site trackers and ensure timely closure of actions.
Communicate EHS topics clearly to site management and employees.
Participate in team talks to promote EHS initiatives and raise awareness.Required Skills & Qualifications:
NEBOSH Qualified
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform audits and detailed reports.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
