Equans Data Centers is seeking experienced Project Managers – Mechanical, to join our expanding team and support the delivery of cutting‑edge data center solutions in Newport, South Wales and across the UK.
What you will deliver
* Leading on site mechanical construction activities from start to finish.
* Managing a team to ensure work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
* Driving operational excellence and providing expert technical guidance.
* Coordinating and controlling the on‑site construction process to ensure the site build progresses line with plan.
* Developing and agreeing electrical submission and approval processes with the client and design team.
* Supporting the overall programming and planning of the build.
* Attending site meetings, effectively communicating and providing information for Progress Reports.
* Chairing and minute the subcontractor meetings.
* Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
* Reviewing procedures and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Fulfilling Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans.

Who are we looking for
* Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
* Strong leadership and team development skills.
* In‑depth technical knowledge of Mechanical Services.
* Knowledge and skills to effectively problem‑solve.
* A keen desire to continually develop knowledge further.
* Self‑motivated, with proven organisational ability and a drive to meet deadlines.
* Customer‑focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
* Attention to Health and Safety matters.
* Commercially astute.
* Experience in the data centres sector is desirable.
* Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline is desirable.
