Role Description
The Deputy General Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations across ENCORE BARS LTD’s venues. Primary responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining operational compliance, optimizing operational efficiency, and contributing to the growth and profitability of the business. Additional duties involve supporting senior management in strategic planning, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, and fostering strong team dynamics. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the City of Edinburgh.
Qualifications
* Operational management and leadership skills, including team leadership, staff training, and management of day-to-day venue operations
* Customer service, relationship building, and ability to foster an exceptional guest experience
* Budget management, financial analysis, and cost control abilities
* Knowledge of regulatory compliance, health and safety guidelines, and industry best practices
* Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
* Proven ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced hospitality environments
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Previous management experience in the hospitality industry is essential
* Possession of relevant certifications in health and safety or food handling is a plus
