About The Role: Days of Working: The role will require you to work 5 days of 7 however this is a 24 hour service and so cover will be required occasionally on evening, weekends and early morning too. The role will cover Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital, working closely with the management team and the trust. As a Monitoring Officer in the public sector, you’ll be responsible for keeping a close eye on various service areas like Domestic Services, Portering, Linen, Waste Management, Catering, and Helpdesk Standards. You’ll document and report on performance levels, escalating any potential issues. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to ensure high standards are maintained. As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: To monitor, document and accurately report on performance levels of each of the following areas: Domestic Services, Portering, Linen, Waste Management, Catering, Helpdesk Standards, ensuring any potential failures of performance are escalated and recorded accordingly. To liaise with the client across the Trust, including, Patient representatives, Nursing staff, Matrons, Managers to ensure full consultation and views are sought regarding the Facilities services. Support with the annual 'Patient Lead Assessments of the Care Environment' inspections across the Trust, ensuring the standards laid out in the PLACE documents are completed. Undertake scheduled audits covering OCS services across the Trust. This includes but not limited to Maintenance, Portering, Domestic Services, Linen, Waste management, Catering and Telecommunications. To monitor against the National Standards of Cleaning 2021 and ensure all areas are performing against the Functional Risk Categories. The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria: Must have Right to Work in the UK. An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate. NVQ in Administration or similar. IOSH / NEBOSH or prepared to study for within 3 months joining. ILM 2 Supervisory Studies or prepared to study for within 3 months joining. Need knowledge or understanding of mental health services or similar. Experience of working at a Management level within Estates & Facilities Management Environment.
