Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Waiting Times Coordinator based at University Hospital Crosshouse. This post is offered on a fixed term basis for 1 year.
Hours
37 hours per week. From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full‑time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part‑time staff) without loss of earnings.
What You Will Do
We are seeking an enthusiastic person to join our existing team as Waiting Times Coordinator. Excellent communication, time management and the ability to prioritise your workload are essential skills for this role.
This post requires someone who is educated to HND level or above. You should possess demonstrable experience in Referral Management Services and waiting list management, and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post
You will be expected to have an in‑depth up‑to‑date understanding of relevant waiting times targets and the complex legislation and rules around these. Weekly reports, with a high level of detail on waiting times for your allocated specialties, will be expected. An understanding of budgets, to ensure close monitoring of spend against budget, is essential.
