Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Waiting List Coordinator based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
You will provide an effective administrative and clerical service in relation to Waiting List Management to for all Ayrshire and Arran and national patients where applicable. You will ensure confirmation of booking to reduce DNA rate and maximise clinical capacity, liaise with senior charge nurse regarding additional clinic capacity and maintain pre-admission clinics– highlighting potential problems. You will also compile and distribute weekly detailed admission lists and download and update Ayrshire and Arran Waiting Lists and distribute to Waiting List Manager and Consultants.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Applicants are invited for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with an interest to develop in this area. You will be educated to HNC level within Business Administration or be able to demonstrate experience to an equivalent level and experience of working in an admin team within the NHS is necessary.
Applicants should have an excellent standard of IT literacy and be competent in the use of MS office applications. Familiarity with Excel is necessary in order support the production of accurate statistics for a variety of purposes.

Driving licence and car ownership is essential to this role.
The post is based at University Hospital Crosshouse, travel to other sites will be required and could be at short notice.
