To provide social, emotional, and practical support to people experiencing challenges with their mental health and emotional well-being. The Sanctuary’s aim is to provide a safe, welcoming place where people can go outside of normal working hours, instead of A&E or other urgent services. People can access support at the point of crisis within a quiet space away whilst receiving face-to-face support following a robust recovery model.
The service will operate 365 days a year predominantly between the hours of 5pm-1am. Shifts will be on a rota basis and will involve caseworkers carrying out telephone and face to face assessments upon receiving referrals from the health board/statutory services. There is the expectation for staff to be flexible and potentially work between the hours of 12pm-8pm. There will also be optional overtime opportunities available. Staff will have the support of a 24hour Management On-Call system.
The support will be expected to be in line with Platform’s values.
Further information about the project can be found within application pack – See ‘The Sanctuary Project Overview’ and JD at the bottom of the page.
