Bootham Junior School is currently looking for a warm, enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our lovely team.

What the Role Involves:
This is an active and fulfilling role where you'll make a real difference in supporting children as they learn, develop and flourish.
Your typical responsibilities will include:
* Encouraging children's development through purposeful play and planned activities
* Helping to maintain a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment
* Promoting children's welfare and following safeguarding practices
* Collaborating with a small, supportive team
* Building positive relationships with children and their families
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting
* A full and relevant Level 3 early years qualification
* A paediatric first aid certificate and food safety certificate (or the willingness to train)
* A genuine enthusiasm for early childhood learning and development
* A warm, approachable and team-oriented outlook
* Knowledge of safeguarding requirements in the Early Years Foundation Stage
* A love for outdoor learning and play
* The flexibility to read a story, pull on a pair of wellies, and role-play as a vet – sometimes all at once

37.5 hours a week over 5 days, term-time only (currently Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday with a 30 minute unpaid break each day)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.17 per hour
