TalentMark are recruiting for a Process Engineer, to join a global materials manufacturing company, based near Wigan, on a full time, permanent basis.
The Company:
Our client strives to be the best innovator of high-performance glass and glazing solutions. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer, and are offering a competitive salary up to £45,000 depending on experience.
Location:
The Process Engineer position will be based at the company's site near Wigan, easily commutable by road from Merseyside including Liverpool, Ormskirk, Skelmersdale and Manchester. Please note a full UK driving licence and car ownership is required due to the company's location.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Produce mass and energy balances.
* Develop engineering drawings e.g. PFDs and P&IDs.
* Participate and lead in process safety assessments e.g. HAZOP and DSEAR assessments.
* Package management of unit operations, process equipment and specification to factory acceptance testing, installation, and commissioning.
* Support and take a lead role during the design, implementation, and commissioning of capital projects.
* Work closely with R&D and manufacturing to improve the coating process.
* Manage and control contractors in the UK and overseas.
* Lead the chemical commissioning of a coating plant.
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
* Bachelor’s degree (and ideally Master’s degree) in Chemical Engineering.
* 3-5 years worth of industry experience within process engineering.
* A working knowledge of key legislation (COMAH, ATEX Directive and PED).
* Chemical plant design and/or operations experience. xsngvjr
