Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive practice for 2 sessions per week on Mondays.
You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patient population of approximately 9,000.

Main duties of the job
You will undertake a variety of duties governed by the GMS contract, including:
* Providing high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population
* Conducting face-to-face, telephone, online consultations, and home visits
* Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, including nurses, HCAs, and administrative staff
* Participating in clinical meetings

About us
We pride ourselves on delivering excellent patient care and achieving high scores in the GP Patient Survey, despite NHS challenges. Our practice is high QOF scoring, CQC rated Good, with excellent staff retention. We are an active member of the Sale Central PCN.
Our team includes 4 GP partners, 4 salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses, a Nurse Associate, a Healthcare Assistant, 2 First contact Physiotherapists, 2 clinical pharmacists, and a large admin team.
We are a training practice hosting ST1, ST2, and FY doctors, many of whom have become permanent team members.

Job description
Job responsibilities
* Maintain the highest standards & professional decision-making regarding presenting problems
* Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
* Manage clinical aspects including investigations, results review, and referrals
* Develop care & treatment plans with patients, following current protocols and NICE guidance
* Ensure appropriate follow-up
* Record clear consultation notes within clinical systems
* Prescribe appropriately, adhering to formulary, NICE, and BNF guidelines
* Manage long-term conditions and complex cases
* Make autonomous clinical decisions
* Assist with administrative tasks, including lab results and Docman during colleagues' leave
* Uphold standards through postgraduate training, clinical governance, audits, and peer review
* Communicate professionally and handle complaints appropriately
* Contribute to Practice Plans, Policies, Procedures, and Protocols

Qualifications (Essential):
* Full GMC registration and inclusion on the NHS Performers List
* UK driver’s license
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to continuous professional development

This role requires a DBS check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
