Carbon60 is seeking a talented Surface Technology Specialist to join their team in Filton. As the Surface Technology Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include: - Providing corrosion protection, sealing concepts, and solutions to enable the design, build, and operation of aircraft - Ensuring reactive support for improvement projects to enhance performance, reduce costs, and shorten timelines - Adhering to EHS (Environment Health and Safety) regulations, such as REACh, by utilising eco-efficient materials and processes - Adapting existing corrosion protection and sealing principles to a chromate-free environment To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in aerospace materials, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing processes. Expertise in aerospace materials (metallic and composite), surface treatments, coatings, and sealants is essential. A degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical or Material Engineering, or a similar field is required. In addition to your technical skills, the ideal candidate will possess a high degree of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, and confidentiality. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are a must, as you will be working in a multi-location international team.
