Are you passionate about supporting the emotional wellbeing of young people in education? Teaching Personnel is seeking caring, committed, and proactive individuals to join our team as Student Wellbeing Mentors, working full-time in schools that support children and young people with special educational needs and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils to help them manage emotional and behavioural difficulties
* Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model
* Support pupils in developing resilience, self-esteem, and coping strategies
* Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Qualifications
* Experience working with children or young people in educational, care, or youth settings
* Understanding of the challenges faced by pupils with emotional and behavioural needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Calm, empathetic, and patient approach
* Ability to work independently and as part of a wider support team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
