We’re looking for a hands-on Design & Technology Technician to support lively DT departments across secondary schools in Newcastle.
If you’re the kind of person who thrives in a busy workshop and enjoys helping students turn sketches into finished projects, this could be the perfect fit.
The role:
You’ll be supporting teachers and students in all areas of Design & Technology — from prepping materials and maintaining equipment to ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely. Every day is different, and you’ll play a key part in keeping creativity flowing.
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience in a school workshop or a technical background (woodwork, metalwork, electronics, or similar)
* Understands health & safety in a workshop environment
* Can set up practical lessons and manage tools and machinery confidently
* Is proactive, organised, and great at supporting others

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
