About the Service
Our Godalming youth club is attended by a group of children aged 9-18 years old. The young people enjoy a wide variety of activities such as Lego play, arts & crafts, community activities, social games and baking whilst developing their social skills. Our Godalming Youth Club runs weekly, during term time as well as pre-planned activities during the school holidays.

About the Role
A breakthrough can seem like the smallest thing, but it can make the world of difference to someone on the autism spectrum. By becoming a Short Breaks Project Coordinator at The National Autistic Society you’ll help make everyday breakthroughs happen more often. Being a Project Coordinator takes patience, flexibility, commitment and energy, but working with autistic children gives so much more in return. We need you to be resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of autistic children.

What You’ll Do

* Provide day‑to‑day leadership and support to Lead Project Workers and volunteers, ensuring high‑quality, inclusive and engaging Short Breaks sessions.
* Plan and resource fun, interactive activities, monitor social‑skills development, and adapt sessions to ensure maximum benefit for autistic children and young people.
* Maintain accurate records and monitoring information, ensure database updates, and support recruitment, induction, and ongoing communication with staff and families.

What We’re Looking For

* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and promote the project to wider audiences.
* Experience working with autistic children or young people, understanding of safeguarding, and confidence using Microsoft Office and databases.
* Ability to work face‑to‑face in Godalming, build effective partnerships, and bring creativity and resourcefulness to service delivery

This advert is for a part time position at 3 Hours per week, fixed term until March 2027.
